Summer Reading Suggestions

The Litchfield Middle School staff encourages students to read

through the summer.

The following is a list of books chosen by students as their favorites.

Check them out or read any other book that interests you.

Some books are to be tasted, others to be swallowed, and some few to be chewed

and digested: that is, some books are to be read only in parts, others to be read,

but not curiously, and some few to be read wholly, and with diligence and

attention. ~ Francis Bacon ~

  • on reports received from NWEA (MAPS) testing that was taken at LMS
  • Estimate the level based on comfort of reading grade level text:
      • Grade 5: 630L - 905L

      • Grade 7: 780L - 1040L
